Stars fill up the night, with every twinkle in your eye. Your smile is the crescent moon, that lulls me to sleep at night. My blanket is your half-assed replacement, that is never as comforting as being in your arms. My apartment neighbors are the soft shuffle, that mimics your footsteps to my door. The lazy fan swaying above is your soft breath on my neck. Empty pillow next to me is the reminder, how lonely it is to wake up without you. Which is why I want to sleep. This the only solace I have. Dreams are only place still filled with you. Where you still want my lingering touches, my kisses that are breathless wanting and wishing for more.

My hands shake, grasping at the last straw. I look on that broken table and the bottles are empty. No more soft goodbyes and whispered pleas, I guess this heavy resignation Is what pain feels like? Self assurance and mumbled mental notes. You acted like I was a ghost, Floating in and out of your bedroom. Raise your head and kiss my throat, My fingernails dug in your bedpost. Let me go and turn away. I was addicted to this. To us. Withdraws slowly creepy into my body and soul. In my veins, I feel like I could disappear. Haggard breath as I slowly go under. I am twenty-two. I feel so young and I have stuff to experience but some of the stuff I go through in my life ages me. I feel old and young. Is this still a mid life crisis even though I am not in my 30s?

Feeling better about things and such.

I have a new boyfriend, we recently started officially dating but he makes me quite happy and we have formed a routine to fit each other lives a lot. I get to see him at least five days out of a week. It's nice to be with someone who wants to spend so much time with me, and he makes me laugh. I feel like I was floating in and out of a dream space, and he is the rock I need to hold on to, make sure I stay tethered to reality.
